- The role
- Combine commercial leadership with strong credit judgment, financial discipline and regulatory credibility, translating growth ambitions into sustainable performance.
Key Accountabilities
Execute the 2025–2030 strategy and deliver sustainable profitability.
Strengthen credit quality, portfolio monitoring, collections and recovery.
Diversify funding; improve systems, technology and operational efficiency.
Build a high-performing team and a culture of accountability and integrity.
Sustain trust with the Board, regulators, investors, lenders and customers.
Candidate profile
15+ years in banking, non-bank or SME finance, microfinance or development finance, including senior executive leadership.
Proven delivery of growth, transformation and sustainable profitability.
Deep SME credit and portfolio-quality expertise; funding mobilisation and investor engagement an advantage.
Strong record in regulatory compliance, governance and risk management.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA an advantage. Tanzania or comparable African market experience desirable.
