The Tele-Remote Operator Trainer supports underground development activities by applying best operational practices, maintaining productivity targets, and ensuring all activities comply with company safety standards, policies, and procedures. The position also focuses on developing the skills and competence of operators through coaching, mentoring, and practical field training. Working closely with the Development Superintendent, the successful candidate will contribute to operational excellence, continuous improvement, and the safe use of automation technologies within the underground mining environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct tele-remote operations in open stopes Operate multiple underground loader types and capacities Monitor and improve operating efficiency and productivity Identify operational delays and implement corrective actions Perform towing and equipment recovery activities when required Recommend and implement improved operating methods Monitor loading performance and cycle times Carry out road building and maintenance activities underground Collaborate with supervisors to improve operational performance Monitor and control loading, hauling, and cycle efficiencies Train operators on LH307, LH410, and LH514 Sandvik loaders Provide training on tele-remote loader operations and automation systems Coach and mentor trainees to improve technical skills and performance Support skills development programs for mining personnel Provide technical, practical, and field support across mining operations Promote safe work practices and compliance with mining standards Contribute to productivity improvement and cost reduction initiatives Support achievement of underground development targets Qualifications Qualification in Mining or a related technical field supported by practical mining
