The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising underground production activities, ensuring efficient use of equipment and resources, and developing a competent and productive workforce. Responsibilities: Lead safe work practices by ensuring compliance with critical controls, PPE requirements, and Take 5 safety procedures. Conduct workplace inspections, toolbox meetings, safety observations, and incident investigations. Supervise underground production activities to ensure planned production targets are achieved. Oversee production drilling, slot raises, V30 hole drilling, stope preparation, charging, and bogging operations. Coordinate the effective utilization of remote boggers and other underground production equipment. Manage haulage operations by monitoring truck cycle times and ensuring efficient material movement. Ensure proper loading procedures, level call-ups, scaling activities, service retractions, and installation of barricades and signage. Maintain accurate production records, PLODs, and end-of-shift reports. Conduct detailed shift handovers and communicate operational status to incoming supervisors. Coordinate with dispatch, lamproom, maintenance, and support departments to manage delays, breakdowns, and equipment availability. Monitor PPE distribution, stock control, and operational resource requirements. Participate in operational planning meetings and equipment performance reviews. Maintain underground roadways, sumps, and work areas according to company standards. Enforce housekeeping, waste segregation, dust control, spill prevention, and environmental compliance measures. Coach, mentor, and support the development of underground mining personnel. Qualifications: Completion of Secondary School Education. Diploma or Certificate in Mining Engineering is an added advantage. Valid Tanzania Driving License. Valid Blasting License. Physical and mental fitness for underground mining operations. Experience: Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the underground mining industry. Proven experience in underground production mining operations. Experience supervising underground teams and coordinating production activities. Practical exposure to drilling, blasting, haulage, stope preparation, and production processes.
