About the Role The Finance Manager will support the Financial Controller in managing Itibari’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations. The role will ensure accurate financial records, strong statutory compliance, effective internal controls, timely management reporting, and continuity of the Finance Department. Key Responsibilities Supervise daily accounting operations and review entries prepared by Finance Officers. Review journals, invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and reconciliations before posting. Oversee cash management, petty cash, bank transactions, and month-end closing activities. Prepare management reports and analyse revenue, expenses, inventory, and operating costs. Review bank, supplier, customer, inventory, and balance-sheet reconciliations. Oversee inventory accounting, stock reconciliations, revenue recognition, and cost controls. Prepare and review VAT, PAYE, SDL, withholding tax, corporate tax, and other statutory returns. Ensure compliance with TRA requirements, EFD procedures, accounting standards, and deadlines. Support audits, regulatory inspections, internal controls, and risk-management initiatives. Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and accurate supporting financial documentation. Supervise and coach junior finance staff and allocate departmental responsibilities. Support budgets, forecasts, cash-flow reporting, financial planning, and system improvements. Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline. CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage. At least four years of relevant accounting experience, including staff supervision. Strong knowledge of Tanzanian taxation, TRA requirements, and statutory reporting. Practical experience in inventory accounting, reconciliations, audits, and internal controls. Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools. Strong analytical, leadership, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills. High integrity, accountability, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, technology-enabled environment.
