The successful candidate will play a critical role in achieving production targets, maintaining operational standards, and fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities: Lead and promote safe work practices by ensuring compliance with critical controls, PPE requirements, and Take 5 procedures. Conduct workplace inspections, safety observations, toolbox meetings, and participate in incident investigations. Supervise underground production activities to ensure delivery against planned production targets. Oversee production drilling, slot raise development, V30 hole drilling, stope preparation, charging, and bogging activities. Coordinate the effective utilization of remote boggers and underground production equipment. Manage haulage operations to achieve targeted truck cycle times and production efficiency. Ensure correct loading procedures, level call-ups, scaling activities, and service installations. Oversee the installation and maintenance of barricades, signage, and underground safety controls. Maintain accurate production records, PLODs, and end-of-shift reports. Conduct effective shift handovers and communicate operational status to incoming supervisors. Coordinate with dispatch, maintenance, and support departments to manage breakdowns, delays, and equipment availability. Monitor PPE distribution, stock control, and operational resource requirements. Participate in equipment performance meetings and operational planning discussions. Ensure roadways, sumps, and underground work areas are maintained to operational standards. Enforce housekeeping, waste segregation, dust control, spill management, and environmental compliance. Support workforce development through coaching, mentoring, and performance guidance. Qualifications: Completion of Secondary School Education. Diploma or Certificate in Mining Engineering is an added advantage. Physical and mental fitness for underground mining operations. Valid Tanzania Driving License. Valid Blasting License. Experience: Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the underground mining industry. Proven underground production mining experience. Experience supervising underground mining personnel and production activities. Practical exposure to drilling, blasting, haulage, stope preparation, and production operations. Experience coordinating multiple underground activities while maintaining safety and productivity standards. Knowledge and Skills: Ability to drive manual vehicles and operate underground mining vehicles. Basic operational knowledge of underground mining equipment and service crew activities.
